Content Moderator (Trust & Safety Specialist)

About the role

We are looking for a Content Moderator (Trust & Safety Specialist) to join our remote team and help maintain a safe, respectful online environment. You will review user‑generated text, images and videos, applying platform policies and legal standards while handling high‑priority and edge‑case content that requires human judgment.

Key responsibilities

• Review and act on reported content across text, image, and video formats, ensuring compliance with community guidelines.
• Monitor daily queues, identify emerging abuse patterns, and promptly escalate to the Policy team.
• Provide feedback on moderation tool efficiency and suggest workflow improvements to boost speed without sacrificing accuracy.
• Maintain a high accuracy rate (95%+) on moderation decisions and participate in calibration sessions.
• Investigate removal or suspension cases, making fair reinstatement determinations.
• Serve as a designated responder during “red alert” situations such as graphic live‑streamed events or coordinated harassment campaigns.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in content moderation, trust & safety, or community management for a major tech/social media platform.
• Strong emotional resilience and ability to review disturbing content while maintaining digital wellness.
• Deep understanding of regional cultural nuances and the ability to differentiate hate speech from protected political expression.
• Proven track record of meeting quality metrics while processing 80‑100+ content pieces per hour.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to stay focused during repetitive tasks.

Required skills

• Experience with moderation tools such as Hive, Besedo, and Salesforce.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace.
