Product Placement Scientist

About the role

Syngenta Seeds is seeking a Product Placement Scientist to lead the planning, execution, and analysis of seed trials across targeted markets. You will work closely with growers, station managers, and internal teams to generate high‑quality data that drives product advancement decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop annual trial plans for assigned crops using relevant planning tools.
• Organise off‑station trials with growers and in‑station trials with station managers, ensuring alignment with trial protocols.
• Design, implement, and analyse trials to evaluate crop performance, collecting data directly or through trial specialists.
• Select optimal trial locations based on market targets, soil uniformity, and environmental factors.
• Prepare and negotiate trial contracts with growers using standard Syngenta agreements.
• Manage trial data, perform analysis, and create visualisations in designated IT systems.
• Present trial results and product candidates during Product Advancement Tours and internal product meetings.
• Build and maintain relationships with seed dealers, growers, and processors to secure strategic trial sites.
• Ensure all activities comply with HSE, biosafety, stewardship, and ethical standards.

Required profile

• PhD or MSc degree in Crop Science, Agronomy, Plant Breeding, Horticulture, or a related field.
• Proven experience in designing and managing field trials for seed products.
• Strong understanding of regional agricultural markets and customer requirements.
