Chef de Partie – Culinary Team

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at a Sheraton hotel in Nouakchott. You will be responsible for preparing high‑quality dishes, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting the Chef in daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, presentation, and quality standards.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters and ensure proper food safety procedures.
• Thaw frozen products in a controlled manner and manage portioning, arrangement, and garnish of dishes.
• Maintain food logs, monitor inventory, and communicate specials or out‑of‑stock items to service staff.
• Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and performance coaching of kitchen staff.
• Follow all safety, security, and hygiene policies and report any incidents.

Required profile

• Technical or vocational culinary education.
• Minimum three years of experience in a similar kitchen role.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment and stand for extended periods.
• Strong communication skills and a professional appearance.
