Document Control Specialist

About the role

INTEC Energy Solutions is seeking a Document Control Specialist to join its team in the Nouakchott‑Nord Region, Mauritania. You will be responsible for organizing, cataloguing, and maintaining a central repository of project and technical documents, ensuring version control and compliance with company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Organise, catalogue and maintain a centralised document repository for technical specifications, reports and project documentation.
• Implement and oversee a version‑control system to track revisions and guarantee document integrity.
• Review documents for accuracy, completeness and adherence to standards.
• Classify documents by type, purpose and content to enable easy searchability.
• Conduct regular audits to verify document accuracy, completeness and compliance.
• Provide training and guidance on document‑control procedures to colleagues.
• Receive, scan, file and track documents using the company’s classification system.
• Communicate proactively with client Document Control Specialists and internal teams to manage workload and project requests.
• Convert selected hard‑copy files to electronic format and prepare meeting minutes and schedules.
• Contribute to policy development for documentation, storage and organisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in document control or a similar role.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
• Result‑oriented, able to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Willingness to travel internationally without restriction.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
