About the role
The Front Desk Manager supports the Front Office Manager in overseeing all front‑office functions at the Sheraton Nouakchott Hotel. This full‑time, onsite role ensures smooth check‑in and check‑out processes, high guest satisfaction, and strong financial performance of the department.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of the front desk, bell/door staff, and switchboard.
- Maintain staffing levels, schedule employees, and cover duties in the absence of the Front Office Manager.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and conflict resolution promptly and professionally.
- Communicate business objectives, performance expectations, and feedback to the team.
- Monitor department financial targets and implement actions to meet or exceed them.
- Coach and develop staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of guest‑services or front‑desk experience, **or** an associate degree in Hospitality, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours and manage a fast‑paced environment.
