Human Resources Assistant

About the role

The Human Resources Assistant supports the HR team in daily administrative tasks, ensuring smooth recruitment, onboarding, and employee communication processes at our Nouakchott location.

Key responsibilities

• Answer phone calls, record messages, and manage office correspondence.
• Maintain filing systems for applicant interviews, employment applications, and employee records.
• Process payroll distribution, audit paychecks, and post required legal notices.
• Communicate job‑offer documentation, complete I‑9 verification, and create new employee personnel files.
• Design and update employee bulletin boards with recruitment, transfer, and promotion information.
• Follow company safety, security, and appearance policies while protecting confidential information.
• Assist colleagues to ensure coverage and provide prompt guest service.
• Perform light physical tasks such as moving items up to 10 lb.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least one year of related HR or administrative experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow company policies.
