Human Resources Coordinator

About the role

The Human Resources Coordinator provides essential administrative support to the HR team, ensuring smooth daily operations and a positive experience for candidates and employees. This full‑time position is based on‑site in Nouakchott and reports to HR management.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain filing systems for employee records and HR documents.
• Prepare, type, and distribute office correspondence and mail.
• Order, track, and manage HR office supplies and forms.
• Answer phone calls, record messages, and greet visitors professionally.
• Set up new employee personnel files and assist walk‑in candidates with application procedures.
• Maintain a clean, accessible application area, including accommodations for individuals with disabilities.
• Respond to employee and management inquiries about HR policies, programs, and guidelines.
• Report employee‑relations issues to HR management and ensure confidentiality of all records.
• Enter and retrieve work‑related information using computer systems.
• Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of related administrative or HR experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to lift objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
