ICT Officer – IT Support & Network Administration

About the role

World Vision Mauritania is seeking an ICT Officer to support daily operations of hardware and business applications across its headquarters in Kiffa and field offices. The role focuses on delivering client‑oriented IT services, ensuring reliable network connectivity, and maintaining an up‑to‑date inventory of equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement and monitor a call‑tracking system and evaluate hardware and applications to ensure optimal performance.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot end‑user computers, software, and security tools in both headquarters and field offices.
• Provide first‑line support for data and voice communication issues, coordinating with local point persons and vendors.
• Collaborate with the national ICT team to maintain Internet and WAN links.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of IT hardware and software to aid management decisions.
• Generate monthly reports and work with office managers to assess support needs.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Certificate (Bac+2) in Computer Science, Telecommunications or Electrical Engineering.
• 18‑24 months of experience in a similar IT support role.
• Good client liaison skills, calm temperament under pressure, and strong communication abilities.
