Laundry Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Laundry Manager to lead daily laundry operations for a hotel in Nouakchott. The role oversees washing, drying and ironing of linen for guest rooms and the Food & Beverage department while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day laundry department operations, ensuring quality, timeliness and compliance with hotel standards.
• Supervise, schedule and train laundry staff, covering duties in employees’ absence.
• Monitor and enforce safety procedures, conduct equipment inspections and coordinate maintenance with Engineering.
• Control departmental budgets, track expenses, order supplies and uniforms within allocated limits.
• Maintain consistent workflow, handle peak periods, and implement process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, local regulations and standard operating procedures.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum two years experience in hotel laundry, housekeeping or a related field.
• Ability to work under time constraints and deliver high‑quality service.
• Strong communication skills and a focus on guest and employee satisfaction.
