Laundry Manager

About the role

The Laundry Manager is responsible for overseeing daily laundry operations in a hotel environment, ensuring that linen for guest rooms and the Food & Beverage department is washed, dried, ironed, and delivered on time. The role combines operational leadership, safety management, and financial oversight to maintain high service standards and departmental profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day laundry operations, ensuring quality standards and timely service.
• Supervise, schedule, and train laundry staff, covering duties in their absence.
• Enforce safety procedures, monitor compliance, and address safety concerns.
• Control department budgets, monitor operating statements, and manage payroll and expenses.
• Order and manage supplies, uniforms, and equipment within budget constraints.
• Coordinate with Engineering for equipment maintenance and handle breakdowns.
• Develop and implement new techniques, supplies, and equipment to improve efficiency.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in laundry, housekeeping, or a related hospitality area.
