M&E and Research Field Manager

About the role

STOOS Consulting is looking for an experienced Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) and Research Field Manager to lead field‑based assignments in Mauritania. The role focuses on coordinating research, assessments, third‑party monitoring and M&E activities while ensuring data quality and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise field teams across multiple wilayas and moughataas.
• Obtain administrative authorisations and manage stakeholder engagement with government authorities, civil society organisations, humanitarian and development partners, and community leaders.
• Oversee data collection processes, ensure data quality, and guarantee timely reporting to clients.
• Recruit, train, and supervise field staff, maintaining performance standards.
• Support the design and implementation of research, assessment and evaluation methodologies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in M&E and research field management, preferably in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Strong knowledge of Mauritanian administrative structures and local contexts.
• Ability to work independently on‑site and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Fluent in English; French or Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
