Office Manager

About the role

INTEC Energy Solutions is seeking a proactive Office Manager to ensure smooth daily operations at its Nouakchott office while providing essential HR support for local recruitment and onboarding. The role combines administrative oversight with hands‑on involvement in hiring processes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day office activities, including supplies, equipment maintenance, and health‑and‑safety compliance.
• Coordinate meetings, events, travel arrangements and act as the main point of contact for visitors, vendors and service providers.
• Maintain filing systems, office policies and procedures.
• Support recruitment by posting vacancies, scheduling interviews and liaising with candidates and agencies.
• Assist onboarding of new hires, prepare orientation materials and conduct welcome sessions.
• Maintain accurate employee records, assist with benefits administration and respond to HR inquiries.
• Enter payroll data, manage timesheets and ensure HR documentation complies with legal requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Office Manager or in a similar administrative role.
• 1‑2 years of HR support experience, especially in recruitment and employee relations.
• Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail and capacity to handle multiple priorities under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the MS Office Suite.
• Experience using office management software; familiarity with HR software is a plus.
