Procurement & Logistics Specialist

About the role

INTEC Energy Solutions is looking for a Procurement & Logistics Specialist to lead procurement and logistics activities for its solar EPC projects in Mauritania. The role combines strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and end‑to‑end logistics management to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials to the site.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement processes for materials, equipment, and services in line with project requirements.
• Support the preparation of technical specifications and RFQ/RFP documents together with the technical team.
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor offers from technical and commercial perspectives.
• Prepare purchase orders, monitor contractual and delivery terms, and negotiate pricing, schedules, and payment terms.
• Coordinate international transportation of PV modules, inverters, mounting structures, cables and related equipment via sea, road and multimodal routes.
• Ensure compliance with customs clearance, import permits and local regulations in Mauritania.
• Track material delivery schedules against the project programme and manage site warehouse operations, including inventory control and material in/out tracking.
• Report and resolve material damages, shortages or non‑conformities.
• Prepare regular reports on procurement and logistics performance, monitor budgets, and take preventive actions to avoid delays and cost overruns.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, International Trade or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably in solar, energy or EPC projects.
• Proven experience in international procurement and logistics operations.
• Knowledge of customs clearance, import/export and transportation operations.
• Proficient in MS Excel and reporting tools.
• Fluent in English (French is an asset).
• Willingness to work on‑site in an international environment.
• Strong planning, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.
