Structural Steel Framing Inspection – Mauritania

About the role

We are seeking a qualified professional to conduct a comprehensive structural steel framing inspection for several canopy structures in Nouakchott, Mauritania. The assignment will last approximately one week and involves verifying materials, welds, and bolted connections according to international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Verify structural‑steel materials and inspect steel frame joint details.
• Inspect welds in accordance with AWS D1.1/D1.1M, including visual, liquid penetrant (ASTM E165/E165M), magnetic particle (ASTM E709), ultrasonic (ASTM E164), and radiographic (ASTM E94/E94M) examinations.
• Identify and reject cracks, incomplete fusion, or penetration defects.
• Inspect high‑strength bolted connections following the RCSC Specification for Structural Joints Using High‑Strength Bolts.
• Document findings and provide a detailed inspection report.

Required profile

• Proven experience in structural steel inspection and nondestructive testing.
• Familiarity with AWS D1.1 welding standards and relevant ASTM NDT methods.
• Ability to work onsite in Mauritania for a one‑week period.
