Tailor – Guest Clothing & Uniform Services

About the role

The Tailor is responsible for maintaining guest clothing and employee uniforms at our Sheraton hotel in Nouakchott. This full‑time position ensures garments are repaired, altered, and presented to the highest standards, supporting the overall guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Mend, repair, and alter guest clothing and staff uniforms using hand stitching, adhesive patches, or a sewing machine.
• Distribute clean uniforms to personnel and manage the return of damaged items to the appropriate repair location.
• Document guest requests for laundry, dry cleaning, minor repairs, and pressing in accordance with company procedures.
• Inspect uniforms for damage, remove substandard items from circulation, and issue replacements.
• Maintain accurate records of uniform inventory, assignments, and cleaning status.

Required profile

• At least one year of related tailoring or garment‑repair experience.
• No high school diploma or GED required.
• No supervisory experience or specific licenses required.
