Technical Support Representative – Cummins Engines

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Support Representative specialized in Cummins engines to provide expert assistance on breakdowns and service cases across our Mauritania operations. The role combines technical troubleshooting, claim management and support for our aftermarket teams.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the single point of contact between OEM (Cummins) and BIA, monitoring and following up all technical support issues.
• Prepare and submit claim files, maximize claim recovery and ensure compliance with OEM standards.
• Conduct remote or on‑site investigations of major technical issues, coordinating with local teams, OEM and customers.
• Analyze machine data (e.g., via KOMTRAX Plus) to detect potential problems and recommend improvements.
• Support deployment of digital solutions such as Smartfleet and other OEM programs.

Required profile

• Mechanical or electro‑mechanical engineer (diploma or equivalent experience).
• 5–10 years of experience as a technical engineer or in a similar position.
• Proven experience dealing with Cummins engines.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with SAP (preferred).
• Knowledge of telemetry systems such as KOMTRAX Plus.
• Familiarity with digital platforms like Smartfleet.
