Cashier / Caissier – Hotel

About the role

The hotel is seeking a reliable Cashier to manage cash operations, support guest services, and ensure financial accuracy across all cash‑related activities. This full‑time position works closely with the finance team, front‑desk staff, and external banking partners.

Key responsibilities

• Verify figures, postings, and documents for mathematical accuracy and correct coding.
• Organize, collect, secure, and maintain all cash and cash equivalents in line with company policies.
• Record, store, and analyze computerized financial information.
• Audit house banks periodically according to standard operating procedures.
• Maintain, distribute, and record petty cash and cashier banks.
• Collect cash, prepare paperwork for bank deposits, and handle currency exchanges for guests.
• Prepare tickets for banquet functions and manage hotel token machines.
• Document cash variances, act as liaison with armored‑car services or banking institutions, and support internal and regulatory audits.
• Provide professional guest service, answer phones courteously, and uphold confidentiality of proprietary information.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of related cash‑handling or finance experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 15 lb without assistance.
