ICT Officer

About the role

World Vision Mauritania is seeking an ICT Officer to support and maintain daily operations of hardware and business applications across its Base and ADP offices. The role involves delivering client‑oriented IT services, ensuring reliable connectivity, and supporting staff in the field.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, maintain, and evaluate a call‑tracking system and ensure optimal operation of hardware and business applications.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot end‑user computers, software, and security tools in Base and ADP offices.
• Resolve data and voice communication issues in collaboration with ADP point persons and external vendors.
• Coordinate with the National Office ICT team to guarantee internet and WAN link availability.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date inventory of all IT hardware and software.
• Generate monthly reports and work with ADP managers to assess support needs each fiscal year.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Certificate (Bac +2) in Computer Science, Telecom or Electrical Engineering.
• Cisco, A+ and Network+ certifications.
• 18‑24 months of experience in a similar IT support role.
• Strong understanding of network administration and Windows Server 2000‑2003.
• Good client liaison, communication, and training abilities.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and handle challenges diplomatically.
