Logistics Officer

About the role

INTEC Energy Solutions is seeking an experienced and highly organized Logistics Officer to support large‑scale Solar PV projects in Mauritania. The role involves coordinating the movement, receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment to ensure uninterrupted site operations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate end‑to‑end logistics activities, including transportation, shipment, customs clearance, delivery, and material handling.
• Monitor the movement of project materials and equipment from suppliers to the site.
• Work with suppliers, freight forwarders, transport companies, customs brokers, and local authorities.
• Prepare and maintain logistics documentation such as shipping documents, delivery notes, customs paperwork, and transportation records.
• Track shipments, provide updates on delivery schedules, and identify potential logistics risks.
• Support customs clearance processes and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Collaborate with Warehouse and Site teams to align deliveries with construction priorities.
• Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials and equipment.
• Assist in planning and optimizing transportation routes, storage needs, and delivery schedules.
• Identify logistics issues early and develop proactive solutions to minimise project delays.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, project requirements, and local regulations.
• Monitor logistics costs and contribute to cost‑effective transportation solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics coordination, preferably within large‑scale construction or renewable energy projects.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and external partners.
• Knowledge of local customs regulations and import procedures in Mauritania.
