Remote Accountant – US GAAP/UK GAAP Expertise

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to manage daily accounting operations and financial reporting remotely. The role supports business growth by delivering accurate financial data and strategic insights.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions, including expenses, revenue, and invoices in the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP or UK GAAP/IFRS.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor accounts payable/receivable, and ensure tax compliance.
• Compute tax payments, prepare tax returns, and process payroll in line with local regulations.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and expense monitoring to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP or UK Accounting Principles (IFRS/UK GAAP).
• CPA (US) or ACCA/ACA/CIMA (UK) preferred.
• Excellent analytical abilities, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Reliable backup power supply, internet connection, and a working laptop.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or SAP.
