Restaurant Supervisor

About the role

The Restaurant Supervisor ensures that all front‑of‑house operations run smoothly, delivering high‑quality service to guests while leading a cohesive team. This full‑time position is based at our venue on Avenue du Palais des Congres in Nouakchott.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate staff to provide optimal guest service and meet customer needs.
• Inspect employee grooming, attire, and overall appearance, correcting any deficiencies.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies, cleaning equipment, and securing the premises.
• Maintain organized storage areas, enforce FIFO practices, and ensure cleanliness.
• Conduct regular inventories, stock supplies, and place requisitions as needed.
• Monitor dining room seating, service flow, safety, and guest wellbeing.
• Complete work orders for maintenance and repairs.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and employee coaching.
• Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and report any incidents.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in food‑service or hospitality operations.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience leading a team.
• Ability to work extended periods standing, walking, and performing physical tasks.
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.

Required skills

• Knowledge of FIFO inventory management.
• Familiarity with opening/closing restaurant procedures.
• Basic understanding of health, safety, and security protocols.
