About the role
The Country Cashier is responsible for managing all payment operations within Mauritania, ensuring that transactions are processed accurately, timely, and securely. This role supports both internal and external stakeholders by handling daily payments, cash vault management, and issue resolution.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and execute daily payment processing using cash, checks, transfer letters, and specialized payment platforms.
- Apply for tickets, open and close cash vaults, maintain payment ledgers, conduct inventory, and safeguard cash and tickets.
- Track outstanding payments, follow up on failed or refund transactions, and perform reverse payment processing.
- Provide support for internal and external payment inquiries and raise operational issues for timely resolution.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Experience in an accounting shared service centre is an advantage.
- Team player with good communication skills.
