Remote CMS Developer (Contract/Full‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CMS Developer to design, build, and maintain custom Content Management System solutions for a fully remote, contract‑based position. You will turn design mockups into responsive, secure web experiences while collaborating with designers, content creators, and other developers.

Key responsibilities

• Create, manage, and scale custom CMS applications (WordPress, Drupal, Craft CMS, Magento).
• Develop custom themes, modules, and plugins from scratch.
• Implement responsive designs, ensure cross‑browser compatibility, and optimise performance.
• Configure custom post types, fields, and editing workflows for non‑technical users.
• Maintain site security, backups, updates, and user authentication.
• Apply technical SEO best practices and integrate third‑party APIs, CRM systems, and tracking tools.
• Collaborate daily with UI/UX designers, back‑end developers, and content stakeholders.
• Document code and technical decisions for future reference.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development or equivalent experience.
• 3‑5 years of professional software development focused on CMS platforms.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and attention to design detail.

Required skills

• HTML5, CSS3 (Flexbox/Grid), JavaScript (ES6+).
• Server‑side programming: PHP, Python, or Ruby.
• Hands‑on experience with WordPress, Drupal, Craft CMS, or Magento.
• Custom post types, custom fields, theme and plugin development.
• API integration, database management, and custom backend architecture.
• Technical SEO implementation.
