About the role

The Hitachi Excavator Product Specialist provides advanced technical support for hydraulic mining excavators, ensuring optimal performance and high customer satisfaction. This role bridges engineering, operations, and commercial teams to maximize equipment productivity and drive aftermarket growth.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver expert technical support on Hitachi hydraulic excavators.
• Perform commissioning, diagnostics, and troubleshooting on site.
• Monitor machine performance, implement reliability improvements, and support preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Analyze failures, determine root causes, and apply corrective actions.
• Provide technical training to operators and maintenance personnel.
• Conduct customer visits and support missions at remote mining sites.
• Identify opportunities for aftermarket services, spare‑parts sales, and revenue growth.
• Ensure compliance with OEM standards, HSE regulations, and internal QHSE procedures.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years experience in mining or heavy‑equipment environments.
• Hands‑on experience with Hitachi excavators (EX, ZX series preferred).
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.
• Willingness to work on remote mining sites with rotational schedules.
• Familiarity with QHSE management systems and risk reporting.
• Strong customer focus, analytical mindset, and effective communication skills.
