Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager will support day‑to‑day execution of general‑ledger processes, ensuring accurate reporting, reconciliation and resolution of discrepancies for our clients. This full‑time position is based on‑site in Nouakchott and involves coordinating accounting projects and maintaining strong internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement accounting work and projects, including SOP audits across all property areas.
• Generate accurate and timely financial reports, presentations and analyses.
• Balance credit‑card ledgers, verify contracts and perform credit reference checks when required.
• Monitor taxes, document profits and losses, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Complete period‑end functions and maintain a robust accounting control environment.
• Provide guidance to other units on accounting and budgeting policies.

Required profile

• 4‑year bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field (no experience required) OR a 2‑year degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical abilities to evaluate information and choose optimal solutions.
• Ability to meet reporting deadlines and achieve performance, budget and team goals.
