Finance Generalist Supervisor (Mauritania)

About the role

The Finance Generalist Supervisor will lead the financial operations of the Mauritania agency, reporting to the General Manager and the Cluster CFO. This position ensures that all accounting, treasury and tax activities are compliant, efficient and aligned with the Group’s objectives, supporting sound decision‑making and long‑term business continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise accounting and financial processes, including treasury management, collections, supplier payments and tax compliance.
• Guarantee the reliability and regulatory compliance of financial reports generated by the agency’s accounting platform.
• Act as the primary contact for external parties such as banks, tax authorities and auditors, ensuring transparent communication.
• Implement Group financial rules, manage working‑capital logistics and support customer collections.
• Assist management in budget preparation, monitoring and business‑partner initiatives.
• Propose and execute actions to meet Group KPI targets and optimise financial processes.
• Ensure internal control compliance and promptly flag any fraud or compliance concerns.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Management Control, Audit, Financial Management or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in a similar finance role within an international environment.
• Strong understanding of financial and accounting methodologies and internal control principles.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven leadership and communication skills for managing teams and interacting with stakeholders.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and French.
