Assistant Manager – Security & Loss Prevention

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Security will support daily operations of the Security and Loss Prevention department, ensuring the safety of guests, employees, and property assets. This full‑time, onsite role involves maintaining compliance with legal and procedural requirements while contributing to a positive guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in conducting hazard and risk assessments, including quarterly OSHA/Safety audits and incident tracking.
• Maintain required logs, certifications, and documentation in line with law and SOPs.
• Supervise initial incident investigations and ensure timely response to all reported events.
• Oversee patrols, key control, electronic key systems, and emergency response procedures.
• Handle complaints, resolve disputes, and negotiate solutions to maintain a safe environment.
• Support first‑aid programs, claims processing, and monitoring of liability and workers’ compensation cases.
• Collaborate with meeting planners to ensure safe guest experiences.
• Participate in hiring, training, and performance appraisal of security staff.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 3 years of security/loss‑prevention experience, OR a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice (or related) with 1 year of experience.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations.
• Ability to conduct investigations, audits, and risk assessments.
• Excellent communication and conflict‑resolution skills.
