Civil Design Engineer

About the role

INTEC Energy Solutions is seeking an experienced Civil Design Engineer to join its Mauritania team and support the engineering and execution of large‑scale solar PV projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop civil and structural designs for utility‑scale solar PV installations, including foundations, grading, drainage and access roads.
• Perform structural analysis and design calculations according to Eurocodes, ACI, ASCE, IBC and ASTM standards.
• Review geotechnical reports, topographical surveys and site investigation data to define foundation systems.
• Prepare detailed drawings, design reports, technical specifications, BOQs and BOMs.
• Coordinate external consultants, review contractor designs and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Support construction teams with site inspections, RFIs, technical queries and design change requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of civil/structural engineering experience, including at least 3 years on utility‑scale solar EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, steel structures, foundation engineering and soil mechanics.
• Professional proficiency in English; French is a strong advantage.
