Finance and Support Services Director

About the role

We are seeking a Finance and Support Services Director to lead the financial management of the World Vision Mauritania Field Office. The role is a strategic partner on the Senior Leadership Team, responsible for ensuring accountability, stewardship, and the development of financial strategies that support programme objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and oversight of finance, ICT, fleet and administration functions.
• Coordinate planning, budgeting and financial reporting processes, delivering accurate data and analysis to senior management.
• Strengthen finance staff capacity through orientation, coaching and succession planning.
• Develop and enforce internal controls, risk‑management procedures and asset safeguarding in line with World Vision policies.
• Facilitate understanding of financial statements for non‑finance staff and partners.
• Represent the Field Office in regional and national senior leadership meetings.
• Build and maintain networks with other field offices, NGOs, banks and community partners.

Required profile

• Demonstrated servant‑leadership aligned with Christian values.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience working in humanitarian or non‑profit environments.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
