About the role
The Front Desk Manager supports the Front Office Manager in overseeing all front‑office functions at the Sheraton Nouakchott Hotel. This full‑time, onsite role ensures smooth check‑in/check‑out processes, high guest satisfaction, and strong financial performance of the department.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of Bell/Doorman staff, switchboard, and Guest Services/Front Desk.
- Handle guest complaints, resolve disputes, and ensure timely service recovery.
- Maintain staffing levels to meet service standards and financial targets.
- Communicate business objectives to the team, recognize performance, and drive results.
- Act as the acting Front Office Manager in the manager’s absence, covering all front‑office areas.
- Monitor department performance against property financial goals and implement corrective actions.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of guest‑services or front‑desk experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to coach and develop staff.
