Human Resources Manager I

About the role

The Human Resources Manager I will join the property HR support team in Nouakchott, overseeing daily HR operations, recruitment, compensation, and employee development. The role ensures HR services meet employee needs, support business success, and comply with relevant laws and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of HR staff and property employees.
• Maintain relationships with external recruitment sources, attend job fairs, and document outreach efforts.
• Partner with vendors to advertise open positions and attract a diverse candidate pool.
• Administer unemployment claims, prepare reports, and represent the property at hearings.
• Coordinate employee orientation, cross‑training, and ongoing development programs.
• Perform quality control on candidate selection and ensure compliance with HR SOPs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 3 years of HR or related experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field with 1 year of experience.
• Strong understanding of recruitment processes, employee benefits administration, and training coordination.

Required skills

• Knowledge of recruitment and selection best practices.
• Familiarity with unemployment claim handling and benefits administration.
• Ability to organize and deliver employee orientation and training programs.
