Storekeeper / Mangasignier

About the role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is hiring a full-time storekeeper (mangasignier) in Nouakchott, Mauritania, within its procurement, purchasing and quality assurance function. The role covers receiving, staging, storing and inspecting goods, keeping stock fresh and safe, and reporting low stock to the manager.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and stage merchandise by department, mark it for placement, stack it on pallets or carts and deliver it to the right department.
• Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies, and notify the manager of low stock levels.
• Inspect deliveries for freshness, cleanliness, consistency and quality, refuse damaged or incorrect items, and store perishables properly while rotating stock.
• Follow food safety and handling policies across all food-related areas.
• Organize, clean and sanitize refrigerators, freezers, floors, food equipment and drains.
• Remove empty pallets, cardboard and trash to proper storage areas.
• Report accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions, complete safety training and certifications, and follow company policies and confidentiality rules.
• Interact professionally with guests and colleagues, support the team and comply with quality assurance standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• No related work experience or supervisory experience required.
• Able to stand, sit or walk for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, read small print and move through narrow or uneven spaces.
