Subcontract Engineer

About the role

INTEC Energy Solutions is seeking a Subcontract Engineer to join its project team in Nouakchott, Mauritania. The role focuses on managing subcontract administration throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and supporting the delivery of photovoltaic and BESS projects.

Key responsibilities

• Administer subcontract agreements from award through final close‑out.
• Maintain accurate subcontract records, logs, and documentation.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with project specifications and company policies.
• Support subcontract kick‑off meetings and ongoing coordination activities.
• Prepare, review, and track subcontract correspondence, registers, and change order logs.
• Assist in the preparation and management of subcontract amendments and change orders.
• Review subcontractor invoices and payment applications for contractual compliance.
• Evaluate variations, claims, and extension of time requests and support contractual notices.
• Liaise with subcontractors, project management teams, and corporate contract management departments.
• Participate in project meetings and prepare contractual reports as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mandatory).
• 3–5 years of experience in subcontract administration, contract administration, or commercial project support.
• Previous experience in construction or renewable‑energy projects is preferred.
