Trust and Safety Analyst (Remote)

About the role

The Trust and Safety Analyst protects platform integrity and user well‑being by identifying, assessing, and mitigating online risks. This remote position works closely with product, engineering, policy, and legal teams to enforce community standards and respond to emerging threats.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth investigations of harassment, hate speech, misinformation, illegal content and other safety reports.
• Apply and interpret internal policies with high accuracy, proposing updates for emerging threats.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to improve detection tools and reduce harmful content at scale.
• Analyze data to uncover new abuse vectors (spam, scams, coordinated inauthentic behavior) and proactively escalate them.
• Handle high‑priority escalations, including law‑enforcement requests and legal inquiries, while protecting user privacy.
• Provide regular insights to Policy, Product, and Legal teams and translate trends into actionable recommendations.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in Trust & Safety, Risk Operations, or Intelligence Analysis within tech/social media.
• Strong emotional intelligence and self‑care strategies for exposure to disturbing content.
• Fluent English with excellent written communication and ability to explain complex policy decisions.
• Proven ability to make rapid, high‑stakes decisions under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Trust & Safety tools such as Salesforce and Jira.
• Experience with moderation dashboards and AI/automation workflows.
• Data analysis and visualization using Tableau, Looker, or basic SQL.
