Project Officer – LP2 (EMBLEM Project)

About the role

The Project Officer – LP2 will support the implementation of the EMBLEM project, which aims to create legal and circular labour mobility pathways for young Mauritanian entrepreneurs in the blue and green sectors. Working from Nouakchott, the officer reports to the Project Manager and collaborates with national partners, service providers and ICMPD colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and coordinate project activities throughout the full life cycle.
• Ensure alignment of project work with donor requirements, ICMPD standards and country priorities.
• Support the Technical Assistance component by analysing institutional mandates, developing road‑maps and preparing implementation tools.
• Facilitate cooperation with project partners, national stakeholders and internal teams to guarantee timely delivery.
• Contribute to other Pan‑Africa region projects in Mauritania as needed.

Required profile

• Fluency in English, French and Arabic (both written and spoken).
• Proficiency in Spanish is an asset.
• Based in Nouakchott and able to work onsite.
• Experience in project coordination or implementation in migration or development contexts is desirable.
