Remote Document Analyst

About the role

The Document Analyst works remotely to review, verify, and analyse a wide range of documents – from government IDs to financial statements – ensuring accuracy, authenticity and regulatory compliance. The role supports operational integrity by spotting discrepancies, fraud attempts and procedural gaps.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and validate data extracted from IDs, proof‑of‑address, financial and legal documents.
• Detect sophisticated fraud such as photoshopped IDs, counterfeit documents and deep‑fake attempts using forensic techniques.
• Handle edge cases involving damaged, non‑standard or foreign‑jurisdiction documents.
• Collaborate with Policy and Product teams to refine annotation guidelines for global document diversity.
• Provide feedback to ML engineers and data scientists on model performance and OCR errors.
• Perform quality checks on annotations and maintain high inter‑annotator agreement.
• Ensure document workflows comply with KYC, AML, GDPR, eIDAS and other regulations.
• Identify opportunities to streamline review processes and reduce manual touchpoints.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in document analysis, identity verification, KYC/AML operations or data extraction.
• Deep knowledge of global identity, financial and legal documents.
• Proven ability to identify advanced document fraud and biometric discrepancies.
• Familiarity with KYC/AML frameworks and data‑privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA).
