Laundry Manager

About the role

The Laundry Manager is responsible for overseeing daily laundry operations in a hotel environment, ensuring linen for guest rooms and food & beverage areas is washed, dried, ironed and delivered on time while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day laundry department operations, supervising staff and ensuring quality standards.
• Control budgets, operating statements and payroll reports to meet financial targets.
• Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety procedures and monitoring compliance.
• Order and manage supplies, uniforms and equipment within budget constraints.
• Coordinate with Engineering for equipment maintenance and handle breakdowns.
• Develop and implement new techniques, supplies and equipment to improve efficiency.
• Lead, coach and evaluate staff, handling recruitment, scheduling and performance management.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in laundry, housekeeping or a related hospitality area.
