Night Auditor

About the role

We are seeking a Night Auditor to join our hotel in Nouakchott. The role combines front‑desk duties with basic accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial records and a smooth guest experience during overnight hours.

Key responsibilities

• Verify the accuracy of financial figures, postings and documents.
• Record, store and analyze computerized financial information.
• Handle cash and cash equivalents in accordance with hotel cash‑handling policies.
• Organize and maintain files and records following retention and confidentiality guidelines.
• Prepare, distribute and audit statistical, financial, accounting and payroll reports.
• Reconcile daily revenue postings.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, reporting incidents as required.
• Welcome guests, respond to their needs, and provide courteous service throughout the night shift.
• Answer telephone calls using proper etiquette and maintain professional communication.
• Assist guests with disabilities and ensure a clean, professional appearance.
• Perform light physical tasks such as moving objects up to 10 lb.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• Ability to work overnight shifts and lift up to 10 lb without assistance.
• Commitment to confidentiality, safety and quality standards.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency for handling financial data.
