QA/QC Engineer – Solar PV & BESS Projects

About the role

INTEC Energy Solutions is seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer to join its project team in Mauritania. The role focuses on implementing and monitoring quality management activities throughout the construction and commissioning phases of utility‑scale solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the project Quality Management Plan and related QA/QC procedures on site.
• Inspect construction and installation works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Review material certificates, inspection reports, test results, and other quality documentation.
• Coordinate and witness inspections, tests, and quality control activities with subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives.
• Identify non‑conformities, prepare Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Site Inspection Requests (SIRs), and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain accurate QA/QC records, inspection reports, test certificates, and quality dossiers.
• Support the preparation and review of Method Statements, checklists, and inspection procedures.
• Participate in internal, client, and third‑party inspections and audits, and monitor testing and commissioning activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management or a related field.
• Proven experience as a QA/QC Engineer in EPC projects, preferably in solar PV or BESS.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, technical specifications, and applicable standards.
